Tammara Sutton, MPS, is a diversity, equity, and inclusion manager with Cornerstone Research. She formerly served as the Head of Employee Resource Groups at Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO). Her responsibilities included overseeing the strategic vision and implementation of Employee Resource Groups (ERG) nation-wide for the organization. Prior to assuming her role as Head of ERGs at GEICO, Sutton spent seven years of her career in Corporate Talent Acquisition across the higher education, technology, and professional services industries for small and medium-sized organizations. Sutton has grounded her professional success in the belief of creating meaningful talent experiences that encourages people to achieve their highest potential, building strategic bridges between the company and people that transforms the way we advocate for talent and do business successfully, and fostering an environment of authentic social and cultural consciousness, inclusion, and equity for all people.

Sutton earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in writing from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, and her Masters of Professional Studies in Diversity and Inclusion – Human Resources Management from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Sutton is originally from the Hampton Roads area in Virginia and currently resides in Maryland. In her free time, she is a freelance writer and enjoys traveling and exploring, while finding new coffee shops in every city that she visits.
