Steve Yager has over 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications and Information Technology industries. Steve is currently a Vice President in Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) organization where he is responsible for Service Providers in the Americas. CX is the Cisco Business Unit devoted to accelerating customer outcomes by ensuring the successfully adoption and performance of Cisco solutions.
Steve’s previous roles at Cisco include leading Cisco’s Global Service Provider (GSP) segment for Advanced Services, the global Cloud and Managed Services organization, the Technical Services Americas business and Cisco’s Technical Assistance Center (TAC) in the Americas. In 2007, Steve came to Cisco as the General Manager for Cisco’s Remote Operations Services function where he was responsible for managing customer networks and enabling partners to better leverage Cisco advanced technologies.
Prior to joining Cisco, Steve has held various positions at corporations like Avaya, VISTA Information Technologies and MCI that honed his technical, sales and leadership skill sets. At Avaya, Steve was the General Manager of IP support services where he reshaped the Managed Services business unit. In the 1990s at MCI, Steve was part of the leadership team that pioneered Network Managed Services. In between working at large companies such as Avaya and MCI, Steve participated in the creation of several startups including VISTA and Visitar. During his time at Visitar, Steve led the development of multiple sales channels which sharpened his ability to develop deep customer relationships to jointly influence positive business outcomes
Steve and his wife, Annemarie have shared over 27 years of marriage, reside in Raleigh, NC and have three boys. Steve attended Virginia Tech where he studied Computer Science.
